At Best Toy Model Store, we take pride in delivering precision-crafted model trains and accessories to enthusiasts worldwide. We understand that sometimes a product might not meet your expectations, and we’re committed to making the return or exchange process as smooth as possible.
Our Return Policy
We accept returns and exchanges within 15 days of receiving your order. To be eligible for a return:
- The item must be unused, in its original packaging, and in the same condition as when you received it
- All original tags, manuals, and accessories must be included
- A proof of purchase (order number or receipt) is required
Non-Returnable Items
For the protection of all customers, we cannot accept returns on:
- Puzzles (from our Puzzles category) – due to potential missing pieces
- For the Kids items that show signs of use
- Any product where the original packaging has been damaged or discarded
- Personalized or custom-ordered items
How to Initiate a Return or Exchange
Follow these simple steps:
- Contact our customer service within 15 days of receiving your order by emailing [email protected] with your return request (see template below)
- Our team will respond within 2 business days with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and instructions
- Package the item securely in its original packaging with the RMA number clearly visible
- Ship the item back to our warehouse at the address provided in your RMA instructions
- Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we’ll process your refund or exchange
Return Shipping
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (wrong item shipped or defective product). We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance as we cannot guarantee receipt of returned items.
Refund Processing
After we receive your return:
- Refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days
- The refund will be issued to your original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal)
- Please allow additional time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund
Note: Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
Exchange Process
For exchanges:
- Follow the same return process above
- In your initial email, clearly state the item you wish to exchange for
- We’ll process the exchange once we receive your return
- If the new item is more expensive, you’ll need to pay the difference
- If the new item costs less, we’ll refund the difference
Damaged or Defective Items
If you receive a damaged or defective item:

- Include photos of the damaged product and packaging
- We’ll arrange for a replacement or refund at no additional cost to you
